John Burrows

John has worked for the Atlantic Salmon Federation (ASF) since 2000 and currently serves as the Vice President of U.S. Operations, overseeing ASF’s conservation, communications, and advocacy activities in the U.S. John has a long history of working in collaboration with local communities, landowners, businesses, indigenous communities, non-governmental organizations, and state and federal agencies to advance Atlantic salmon conservation and the restoration of rivers ecosystems across Maine. John earned his B.A. in Political Science and Environmental Studies from Gettysburg College and an M.E.S. in Environmental Policy from the Yale School of the Environment. John is a native Mainer and lives with his family in Kennebunk, Maine.
